Knowledge Exchange is currently exploring the practices, drivers and the impediments to the use of preprints in scholarly communication. We wish to explore the possible effects the use of preprints might have and if they are likely to be embedded as a norm in the research life cycle. We plan to use this research to identify whether the research community could benefit from the release of recommendations or best practice.
To gauge the current preprints landscape, we are investigating the perspectives of 40 stakeholders with different roles: researchers, research performing and research funding organizations. In this context, we are looking for researchers in the fields of Biology, Chemistry and Psychology who might be interested in talking to us. We are interested in both (i) researchers who have submitted preprints in the past; and (ii) those who use or are aware of preprints but haven't posted any to date.
We have arranged for this research to be conducted by Research Consulting - if you would like to contribute, please indicate your interest and provide your contact details here and we will be in touch as soon as possible.
