The workshop brought together key figures to discuss a detailed report Knowledge Exchange produced last summer called "Knowledge Exchange Approach to Open Scholarship", focusing on the themes of The Economy of Open Scholarship and Output and Evaluation from the Researcher's Perspective.
The report "Moving from ambition to reality" attempts to summarize and reflect on the key points as represented in discussion at the workshop. It is intended to portray consensus where it was obvious and to present a menu of suggested actions, some of which Knowledge Exchange may take forward and some of which might be considered by partners, universities, funders and other research bodies, nationally and internationally regarding Open Scholarship.
This report can be read as continuation to earlier KE work on Open Scholarship that builds on expert work described in report on "Pathways to Open Scholarship" and "Knowledge Exchange Approach to Open Scholarship".
The next steps for Knowledge Exchange on work around Open Scholarship, will be to form working groups covering the aspects "The Economy of Open Scholarship" and "Output and Evaluation from the "Researcher's Perspective". Experts from all six Knowledge Exchange partner countries will be invited to work on the topics. We expect the first outputs of these working groups to be available in Autumn 2018.
