In November 2011, the European Commission produced the report 'Riding the Wave', which called for collaborative data infrastructure to enable researchers and other stakeholders from education, society and business to use, re-use and exploit research data to the maximum benefit of science and society.
The Knowledge Exchange partners embraced this vision and translated the EC reports' outcomes into actions for stakeholders in the four partner countries, and beyond. The report ‘A Surfboard for Riding the Wave' is one of KE's most referenced reports ever.
